New Basement Waterproofing Course Dates (January 2006)
5th September 2005 - New course dates have been announced for the three-day basement waterproofing course held by Phil Hewitt at our premises in Horsham, West Sussex.
Day 1 (17th January 2006) - Basic Principals of Structural Waterproofing.
BS8102, BCA/BSWA Design Guide, other documents. Conforming to BS8102. High water tables. Salt contamination. Induced stresses. Types of waterproofing systems. Selecting waterproofing systems. Combining waterproofing systems. Case histories.
Day 2 (18th January 2006) - Surveying, Reporting, Quoting, Basic Contract Law.
Assessing ground conditions and structure. Contracts. Preparing a report. Quoting. Basic contract law.
Day 3 (19th January 2006) - Principals and application of cementitious and cavity drain systems.
General principals of cementitious waterproofing systems - sand/cement mixes, hydration, curing, shrinkage, bonding, wall-floor junctions. Cavity drainage systems - fixing, lapping, sumps & pumps, wall/floor junctions. General points for both systems. Fixings, decoration.
The course is priced at £150 + VAT per day or £400 + VAT for all three days (saving £50 + VAT!).
